Battery chargers recommended for use with Megapulse
- Megapulse reduces the need for a charger by keeping batteries working at peak performance
In many cases, the requirement for an additional charger is caused by an ageing sulphated battery, which cannot hold its charge and runs down quickly.
Rather than treat the symptoms, Megapulse addresses the fundamental problem of battery sulphation. By eliminating sulphation, the battery maintains its full performance, thus removing the need for a charger.
Unlike a charger, Megapulse does not require external power so works 24x7 even where there is no mains power. The full performance of vehicle batteries can be achieved simply by fitting Megapulse and relying on the vehicle's alternator for charging. No external power required.
Other than electric vehicles which are supplied with their own chargers, the most common reason for purchasing a charger is where a battery lies idle for months at a time, such as in a rarely used car or motorbike. In these cases:- Recommendation:
With Megapulse keeping the battery in good condition,
a simple inexpensive 2- or 3-stage low-current (trickle) charger is all that is required.
Chargers with built-in desulphation are also an option, but are unnecessary where Megapulse is fitted. It must be borne in mind that a desulphating charger only works while it is connected to the battery; by contrast Megapulse works all the time. Therefore the deterioration that occurs between the times a charger is connected is effectively and simply prevented with Megapulse. (click here for more details)
