- Incompatibility
- The following inverter chargers have been found to be incompatible with Megapulse, as explained below:
- Smart Line LT series UPS
- Explanation:
- Most chargers rely on measuring the average battery voltage. These chargers are not affected.
- However some - typically older - models use repetitive sampling; these chargers are prone to measuring peak pulse voltages. This causes the charger to believe the battery voltage is higher than it really is, thus thinking the battery is fully charged when it isn't. The result is that the battery charge is terminated prematurely, so the batteries are never fully charged.
